In a significant development that has been eagerly awaited, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has officially releases the results for the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The long-anticipated exam results were made public on a Monday, marking a pivotal moment for students, educators, and families across the region.
Head of WAEC Nigeria Reveals Important Details
Headed by Patrick Areghan, the Head of Nigeria’s Office (HNO) of WAEC, the examination body revealed a crucial breakdown of the results. Out of an impressive total of 1,613,733 candidates who undertook the examination, a noteworthy 262,803 candidates are currently facing withheld results due to suspected cases of examination malpractice. This proactive approach by WAEC underscores their commitment to upholding the integrity of the examination process and maintaining a fair playing field for all candidates.
